Jay Johnstone, Major League Outfielder and Prankster, Dies at 74 (Published 2020)
He played in the World Series with the 1978 Yankees and the 1981 Dodgers, but he was best known for his imaginative stunts. He died of Covid-19 complications.

Went to baseball camp in NY as a kid. Every week they'd bring in a Yankee or Met to talk to us.
Johnstone was far and away the biggest hit with all the campers. Funny as hell, and so engaged in working with us. Some of the others you could tell were counting the minutes until it was over, but not him.
He really served no useful piece on the '78 Yankees, as they had too many lefty OF already, and he killed the Yanks in the '81 series, but I'll remember him fondly despite all that.
