R.I.P to the GREATEST HR HITTER OF ALL TIME. Hammerin Hank

Tough time for fans of MLB not just the Braves

RIP Hank
I know that you're a few (3?) years older than me, but we are at the point where our childhood and teen years sports heroes are all getting pretty fuggin old and this will be a regular thing as time marches on.

Definitely sucks, but "circle of life" and all that jazz.

Roger that. You start reflecting on your own mortality.

Fuckin blows

Back in about 1976 I was 8 and my mom dropped me off at this baseball card auction in Minneapolis and there was a Hank Aaron card that came up, people started bidding and Hank was a childhood fav of mine, I checked how much money I had left and stood up and said like $7.48 and people laughed but nobody outbid me so I got the card, great memory!

R.I.P. Legend!

Whatever you say. Seems kinda petty, pathetic and demonstrates a need to argue every little thing no matter how insignificant, but by all means, you do you.

I'm not arguing anything dumb ass. I'm just bringing facts into the thread and your panties are all twisted up over it.

"I get called out for being a tone deaf retard, but I can cover it up by claiming the one calling me out is triggered"

Predictable and pathetic.

FTR, I consider Bonds the HR king. Everyone was taking roids during his era, and he played in an era where 75 MPH wasn't considered a blazing fastball and he faced pitchers of all races.

Aren't you a baseball purist?

No. PEDs have been around since the 1800's in baseball. Baseball's first 300 game winner drank an elixir containing monkey testosterone, Babe Ruth injected himself with ram testicle extract, Hank and Willie took amphetamines, baseball ran on cocaine in the 70's and 80's. They've always been around and they always will be around.

You should consider how each player did in relation to other players of their time, Ruth hit more home runs than other teams did and Bonds is one of the greatest players of all time but he is the home run champ only because of the roids. I am and always will be a huge fan of Hank and Bonds for that matter but Ruth is and always will be the home run champ and it has nothing to do with his race or the race of the people he played against.

If you look at the greatest pitchers of all time since 1947 a very high percentage of them are white so did that really make much difference? I believe Fergie Jenkins has the most wins all time for a black pitcher, I believe he Gibson and Sabathia are the only black pitchers with 250+ wins. 70 years and three...

He certainly has the most, but that doesn't make him the greatest HR hitter, just a damn good one that played for a very long time. The only PED's that Ruth was on was hot dogs, beer and floozies.
And there were players that werent white.

That works to an extent, but also, you have to consider the quality of said competition.

A large percentage of 300 game winners come from guys that played in 1800s and the dead ball era where pitchers started 50+ games a year and threw complete games. Cy Young has more complete games than Greg Maddux has starts.
