Raiders Bench Derek Carr

I guess his prayers to the Almighty fell on deaf ears.

If he goes to the Jets he will be in a better situation and most reasonable Raiders fans (I know, I know) will remember him for what he was, a pretty good QB who was constantly put in bad situations

No, but he does obey the Tuck Rule

I'm reading that Carr has a no-trade clause which gives him the power to approve any trade. So what is the move here for Carr?

It is easy for us as fans to say the Jets are a no-brainer but what if his family doesn't want to move to New York do you hold out for an Indianapolis or Atlanta or do you just try and get the most money?

If he doesn't like the trade options the Raiders are throwing out there can he refuse the trade force a release and then enter negotiations with whatever team he wants?

I really haven't followed this side of the NFL as I am a college guy so help me learn the ropes here.

I assume his agent is telling him whatever is going to net the most money. I assume that is a trade, but since he has the clause could he force an extension or guaranteeing of more years in order to accept the trade? That would be my first play if I were Carr. Doubt he gets a huge contract on the open market. Second option if he is released and unclaimed would be to sign a 1 year prove it deal with stipulation that the franchise tag couldn't be applied. He will have Raider money next year and he could put himself in a position to thrive with a good offense.
If I'm Carr I hope to end up on these teams, in this order: Buccs, Skins, Jets, Titans, Giants. Not sure I'd consider anywhere else on a prove-it deal.

The Buccs would scare me because you don't know what Brady will do and I don't have confidence in the current coaching situation.

Out of your list the Titans would be my top choice because they can be a contender and if Tannehill can have success there then Carr can.
You didn't list Indy, ATL or the Saints and I think all 3 of them will be looking for a QB. Indy it would depend on who they hire as a coach but the Saints would be my number two if they are in the market.

Indy, ATL, and Saints are all looking but if I'm Carr I see the lack of offensive weapons and avoid them if I can.
