Raiders fire Gruden

Thank God this is an "anonymous" site.

Don't we want to raise our children to tell the truth though?

The problematic part is that Gruden was employed neither by the Raiders or the NFL when he made these comments.
So what? I swear you guys have no fucking clue how the real world works. Let me clue you in on something: If you do something (or did something in the past) that reflects negatively on your current employer, they will fire you. That’s how employers in the real world operate.

so pumped for Eric "I assault women and urinate on them" Bieniemy to become the next head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders!

Legally, go and justify firing someone who wasn't an employee at the time, wasn't connected to your company, and who had no idea what his comments might evolve into. It's thought policing.

Seems like the policing for saying fucked up things is a lot harsher than the policing for doing fucked up things. Which seems backwards to me.
league probably has a higher standards for coaches than players, which is dumb but it is what it is

Imagine a world, where your whole life can be turned upside down over a word.

It's crossed over the line of absurdity. We've let the buttfuckertard genie out of the bottle, and it's dumb.

Forgiveness is a virtue, you virtue-signaling faggots.

I would say in the real world, your bosses are probably held to a higher standard. But it’s hard to call the head coaches “bosses” when many of the players are payed more.

Go check out the NBA. How many instances do you think there are of a player calling someone else a "fag" or "homo", let alone doing it as a teenager?

it is definitely a unique dynamic. If a player is good enough he can get his coach fired

The Raiders really can’t be reflected upon poorly.

it 100% happens all the time. I'm also under the impression that these locker rooms are low key antisemitic as well, based off the behavior that we saw last summer.

Some jobs with heavy performance based compensation could go that way, too, I think

Yeah, but let's be real... If he was winning, he'd apologize, get fined, suspended, and be back by playoffs.

His comments about the blacks would be what I would focus on. You can’t with good conscience say some shit about a black dudes lips and act like you didn’t mean it because he was black. In a world where easily more than half of your players are black. Yikes. Not a good look.

Are you new? You think high-profile contracts don’t have conduct clauses? Good lord, I work for a tiny company that no one has ever heard of and my contract has a conduct clause and it isn’t limited to conduct while under their employ. Real world. Check it out sometime.
