I'll be checking out saints this summer. I'm curious how they mix their non traditional game day stuff with being a twins affiliate
is their affiliation new? i feel like there was some talk about bringing in non affiliated teams last year during the pandemic.

kind of want to buy a weeping willow tree, but also think it'll look dumb and out of place.

Decent weekend. Drove to a brewery on the east side of the state... Bought over $300 in beer, stopped at another in Newark on the way back. Then walked around Granville and got dinner. Hit some balls against the wall yesterday, then rode bikes... Chose a different bike path. It went through ghettos, and you could tell. Grilled some ribeyes for dinner.
I was in Newark for a funeral/celebration of life. Drove through Granville to get there. Funeral dinner was halfway between New Albany and Westerville. Furthest east I've ever been.

dinner was that bad that you had to drop the celebration of life portion? condolences.

i've been a bit further east and west. end of the day every where is the same. just people trying to get by.

And messy af.
can't imagine it'd be more so than the rest of the trees surrounding my place. hoping it'd help with erosion i have to deal with around the bottom of the property that is supposedly a neighbors fault, but what am i to do with that? feel like the neighbor blaming them is also part of the problem for continually blowing there leaves onto my property down there. meh, fuck em.

It’s about the messiest tree you can put in a yard.

It’ll take 20 years if you’re just planting a small one you buy in pot. But they’re shitty to maintain.

Do the neighbors have willows?

nah, i live in norther va, which makes me think it'd be out of place, though i;ve always liked the look of them. i have leaves all the time they never leave.

I love the look of em.

But they’re dirty sumsabidges.

that's my thing, if it's just the leaves, that's no worries, think the other cats already blow them in my yard and i'm at the bottom of a road which apparently is sending all the water to erode what little dirt i have their to begin with. if this tree can help, i'm here for it.

Tulip trees, redbud, birch/poplar and a lot of your pines and spruces, cedars and cypresses take in water and grow quickly. (I don’t know what exactly you mean by erosion.).

The evergreens do a nice job of holding leaves under them that blow in. (Unless you cut out the low branches to mow under. I hate when people do that.)

The willows issue isn’t just leaves. It’s billions of twigs. They choke themselves out as they grow. Under growth dies off yearly. They’re a pain in the ass.

just making me like it more, plus they also grow quickly, no?

Like a fucking weed.
man i really want to try weed. like yeah, i tried it when i was 18/19, probably shitty stems and seeds only. be cool if the fed could just legalize it and free me from these bonds. the right strain could be so helpful, though we'll never know, fuck Biden.

I’m high as shit, off a double chocolate chip cookie I baked, with weed butter I made, from trim off a plant my FiL grew, from seed I gave him.

Also ate a gummy my boss my boss gave me. Still have a good twenty minutes before that announces its presence.

Good Times.

Gonna trade a guy some manual labor for a couple dozen clones in the near future. Add some value to the ol garden.

And yeah, Joe sucks

Last Thursday I had a skim of ice on a bucket of water. This last week we’ve seen high 80’s to 90.

Just about time to plant, outdoors.
