You could take to a local animal shelter that could check if the cat is micro-chipped. Then they could scan it and see if it's in any database. Most decent shelters can do this.
The Ring app. I get a minimum 10 notifications a day on that thing with people calling out lost pets. That and "did anyone else hear gunshots"

We live near a minor league stadium that does fireworks after the game a lot. So its like clockwork. Also we live in Columbia, so its a valid question sometimes.
i live on the end of a private road. a ring camera would only freak me out, as there is no need for anyone to knock on my door other than trying to get me to pay for them to spray for bugs and shit. if someone comes by at 2 in the morning, i'd rather sleep through that shit.
Someone was freaking out about the county fair fireworks a couple of years ago. I guess you could potentially have moved here in the fall and stayed inside for the entire time leading up to the fair and not known about the fireworks. It's the only conceivable way, since they advertise the fuck out of fireworks night.
I'd say put it up on Next Door or something
