As it turns out, the Packers won't have both Aaron Jones and Josh Jacobs in 2024.

Bummer. The thought of having both was very interesting. I rather would've kept Jones if we were gonna only have one.![]()

The dude has made over $34m playing a non-premium position before hitting the age of 30. He could retire now and never work another day again in his life while living a luxurious life. There is not an ounce of sympathy for anyone like this.Running backs get so screwed in today's NFL. The NFLPA needs to dig their heels in and correct that in the next CBA.
Jones deserved the money the Packers gave him after his rookie deal. They paid Jones pennies for great production on his rookie deal; then when he finally gets the money he deserved all along they cut him. Garbage. I'd hate the Packers for doing this, but every team does it. Lame.

Chris Lindstrom is an elite player at an important position though.
$34M is less than Atlanta Falcons guard Chris Lindstrom made last year alone.
Jones was one of the top all-purpose RBs in the NFL in '19 and '20 and made less than most kickers.
Relative to the minimum wage job you work, yeah, Aaron Jones is doing alright. Relative to other NFL players, he got screwed.
So in your mind, is every position except RB important?Chris Lindstrom is an elite player at an important position though.
Jones was a no-name who Green Bay took a flier on that they then developed into a really good RB, then they paid him very handsomely between 2021-2023. I really don't see how he got "screwed". If he's still good, he'll get paid elsewhere, but he's also going to be 30 this year and is coming off the least productive season since he was a rookie.
Holy hyperbole, Batman. Calm the fuck down.So in your mind, is every position except RB important?
If you actually watched Bears games last year, you saw Jones gash the Bears in week 1. If you paid attention to the NFL at all from weeks 2 through October when Jones was hurt, you saw how bad Packers offense sputtered without him. And when he got back to full strength, all of a sudden the Packers are in a playoff spot and Jones finds the end zone 3 times in Dallas in the playoffs. ...But you're right, he's recyclable trash not fit to hold an elite guard's jock strap.![]()
My guess is he goes to the Jets.So in your mind, is every position except RB important?

I'd like to see him finish up in Houston if not in GB. Maybe even him meet the Packers in the Super Bowl in a couple years. My guess is he goes to the Jets.
big move
i'm not even sure which team you're talking about with that statement. That’s wild for a team without a QB. Makes me think they’ll go after JJ in the draft.
He was going to be a free agent after next season so it is best for all concerned. Jacob's is 3 years younger.I'd like to see him finish up in Houston if not in GB. Maybe even him meet the Packers in the Super Bowl in a couple years.
