Same here. Jeff Bridges is one of thee best actors of his generation IMO.As much as I like the original True Grit, I think the remake was a better movie.

I thought the 1960 version was the original. Unless you're referring to the underlying Samurai tale it ripped off?
Fun fact; Seven Samurai wasn't the only popular Akira Kurosawa film to get remade into a successful Western (The Magnificent Seven)
Kurosawa's Yojimbo was remade into A Fistful Of Dollars.
I loved Samurai movies. Rarely get to see them here.
Occasionaly, Turner Classic Movies will do a Japanese film marathon or something Kurosawa related but that's about it. You mostly have to find them yourself nowadays
