Not really. No different than MLB stats being greater back then. There were less teams so it wasn't so much watered down as it was not facing all the other best players. So, I’m looking at how baseball reference now has negro league stats.
Never realized how their seasons were so short. No wonder some of their state were so insane.

Imagine if it were the same thing all along. One side would have had Bonds, Aaron, Mays, Gibson, the other Williams, Mantle, Rocket and Unit. Numbers would have certainly been up but doesn't change their greatness
That's why you go to 165 game averages. For Josh Gibson, it was .374, 45, 196. I see your point but there's a flip to it as well. In a short season, a guy goes into a slump, or he doesnt, maybe he is hitting bottle rockets everywhere that are just getting caught(easy to do), and your numbers never have time to recover. It works for and againstbut the less games you play the easier it is to keep your ratio stats so high.

I would think that would have mirrored their counterparts. I'll use Gibson and Ruth as an example. Take any decade since the league's of different sports have been open to all races. It's hard to find a time when the very best black player wasn't at least the equal of the very best white player, and vice versa. Mantle-Mays, Bird-Magic, Mahomes-Rodgers..true. But much more working for you.
Short seasons there is much less pacing.
it would have been fun to see some of these legends compete in real organized baseball. Would love to see how their stats would have compared to the other greats of their time.

From every account I have read, he was similar to Ruth, but who knows, thats been a whole. Had to be something
How many times did Ruth face Satchel Paige or Bullet Rogan?
Ty Cobb, noted racist, said Smokey Joe Williams would have been a 30 game winner im the MLB
