still mad about losing his job to Cousins:

"Yeah, I can tell you that No. 8 in Minnesota is not real happy right now," Griffin said. "Because Kellen Mond represents exactly what he doesn't do well. Kellen Mond is the big, physical quarterback. He can run it, throw it all over the field, and I don't think that's something that No. 8 is able to do in Cousins in Minnesota. But, I think that's what the coaching staff and administration is looking for.

As you've seen, Cousins has been collecting checks there in Minnesota for a long time, taking them to 8-8, 9-7 seasons," Griffin continued. "If he has a bad start to the year like he did last year, I could see the fans and maybe the organization leaning toward Mond if he comes in and impresses."

the balls on this clipboard holder...

He’s not wrong.

Cousins is average at best. But has been paid really, really well for years. And is an annoying do gooder.

Id be surprised if he’s still there in 2023. Can’t see him being cut before that though.

yeah, he's not wrong, but, he's not really the guy who needs to be stating the obvious here. cousins might be vastly overrated and overpaid, but robert griffin has been hanging by a thread in this league for multiple seasons now. comes off as extremely small

You aren’t wrong either.

But if I had to be paying one of them. And they both are who they are and make what they make.

I’m taking the guy who is a shadow of himself.

You don’t hang around this long because you have poor work ethic or are an issue with chemistry. And RG3 ain’t makin jacksquat big scheme.

additionally, there's stories out there that suggests that RG3 disliked Cousins from day one. Not because he thought Cousins was a douche or anything, but because he was insecure about Washington drafting another QB right after they drafted him.

At the end of the day, Cousins may be overpaid, but he's still a decent NFL QB. RG III sucked, and it looks like ole Bob Griffin is having a hard time accepting that he was the 2nd best QB that the Washington drafted in 2012.

i'd still take cousins. griffin's legs are basically being held together by duct tape at this point, and frankly, he was never really even that good to begin with.

i lived in the Hampton Roads area during RG's rookie season. They were so excited about him. I bought my supervisor at the time an RG3 jersey. He was pumped! Two years later, all of my buddies claimed that they always knew he was going to suck, lmao. It got to a point where they all wanted RG3 to be third string, behind Cousins AND Colt McCoy.

Isn’t his salary full guaranteed though? Pretty big cap hit if they cut him.

It's always fun when the kid with learning disabilities makes fun of the fat kid

He wasn’t by far the best they drafted.

Don’t be dumb.

Wrong.

Ok, so then why would they cut him this the off-season?
I don’t think they will cut him. Never said they would cut him.

I’ll be surprised if he’s given another contract. But I don’t see them cutting him before this one is up. Which I already said in a previous post.

lmao, Cousins will go down as the best QB that Washington drafted in 2012 by a significant margin. That isn't an indicator that Cousins has been great, it's more of a reflection of how mediocre RG3 has been.

People are forgetting just how good RG3 was as a rookie. Yeah, he got injured and has never been near the same since, but he looked like the next big thing at QB before the injury.

I don’t like Cousins either. He’s a douche and and might be the most overpaid player in the NFL, and everyone knew it was a bad move by the Vikings when they gave him that deal.

His rookie season ended up being an anomaly, mostly because everyone in Washington, including RG3 himself, knew that if they kept running him out of the pocket, then his career was going to be cut short. What they didn't know was that RG3 is so bad in the pocket that his career was going to be cut short, regardless. RG3's NFL career was always on borrowed time. and no, the injury didn't prevent RG3 from becoming the "next big thing" Being a shitty passer did that.

When you're comparing the professional careers between RG3 and Cousins, there's no comparison. Cousins is objectively better.
