...Folks, the reason an extravagant halftime show exists is to get people who don't give a fuck about football to watch the broadcast. The primary target demographic for the halftime show is females age 12-30. Rihanna is much more likely to reel in those non-football viewers than Metallica. It ain't about showcasing the best music, it's about maximizing income.
