Bummer. So good in Midnight Run. Did tons of other good movies too. Heartbreak Kid, Beethoven, Great Muppet Caper. He was basically everywhere in roles in the late 70s to early 90s.

if i'm not mistaken, didn't he have a talk show on cnbc or msnbc or some shit back in the 90's?

Droll is the right description. I enjoyed him in movies. I remember....wasn’t he in one of those late 70s Rom Coms with Goldie and Chevy?

And I certainly remember him as the buddy on Dave.

Midnight Run goes without saying.

RIP.

RIP...

Remember him in 11 Harrowhouse (1974) along with Candace Bergen and James Mason. about a big diamond heist in London.

His droll sense of humor cracked me up!! :heh:

Have not heard his name in years....

Didnt realize he was 86.....

Great actor.....RIP

Midnight Run and Clifford are two of the funniest movies I can think of with Grodin.

RIP

The Lonely Guy & Taking Care of Business were a couple of my favorites.

R.I.P.

Had no idea he was that old either

:rip:

I think its because he always looked like he was 48 so you never really knew how old he was. Then when he stepped away from movies, you just sort of just remember him always in that middle age look.
