Dead at 89, and I’m on the board in the Deadpool.

Dude was a poker legend, arguably the best among that first generation of hold em players.

And his Super System book is a little dated now, but was pretty groundbreaking for its time and is probably the longest book I’ve ever read.

RIP, Texas Dolly. Next time I get dealt a 10-2, I’m playing it like I have pocket aces

RIP Mister Doyle! Super System and Super System 2 were must reads back in the day. In the early internet poker days, everyone was using the Super System as the basis of their game.

Tony “The Ant” Spilotro once gave Brunson a death threat and wanted a 25% cut of Doyle’s poker winnings.

The Ant died in the 80’s. Brunson died of old age.

Benny Binion had a lot to do with that

Card players are heroes?

His book taught me everything I know about Texas hold em. His estate has repeatedly asked me to stop saying that because of my poor hold em play.
Those who can't, teach Fordy

Brunson confessed to cheating with Slim and Reese. He was a crooked player.

When? I know he was accused of it in the 80s but I don't remember ever seeing her admitted to it. There was a ton of cheating in the old poker days. The people he cheated with Slim were probably cheating too
