I'm not sure that anyone ever hit any harder than Earnie. It's too bad that probably his biggest moment was in a fight that he lost (the knockdown that Larry Holmes somehow managed to get up from like a true champion). Very sad to see Earnie gone though.

I met Ken Norton a few times. He died pretty young.

Earlier was a beast. No one would have accused him of being the most skilled boxer, but he had a cannon. Getting old sucks, and I'm not even close to these guys ages, but it's definitely getting to a time when I can't deny times ever increasing of slipping away.
