RIP John Madden

I’ve been thinking of this….I was sort of too old for the Madden game to come along and teach me a lot about the game (though I have to admit it helped flesh out my deeper understanding of the game.
So, where did I learn the game? My father is much more a baseball man. I learned everything about that game from him. But not football. I think it was Madden broadcasts (and all of the color guys that came along after Madden and did it his way later) that taught me the game.
That’s actually pretty impactful. Plus, who knew shit about line play before 1981? Lol
