Nope not so. Those people that are trying to screw Alaska out of its resources have never stepped foot on the Arctic Slope. They are people who live in the lower 48 and know nothing of the oil industry up here. Alaska has the best environmental and safety record in regards to oil production than any other place in the world. We're under a microscope up here due to the fact our drilling takes place on federal land.

Goldman Sachs dumps on Alaska while investing in Russian Arctic oil - Must Read Alaska <--- this is an example of the hypocrisy of the left. Russia has a pure shit environmental record yet they don't have a problem investing in Russia's Arctic oil & gas operations while fvcking the US energy sector aka Alaska. I've worked in Russia's oil patch (Sakhalin Island field) and it's a shithole.


The fields they're trying to screw us on are larger than some states on the east coast yet it's just a dimple on an elephant's ass for how big this state is.

Personally, I have no objection to the plan. I would warn you that putting that much oil into the market will only put more downward pressure on the price of oil. Not everything will be unicorns and rainbows.

It takes a decade or more to develop a new field before an ounce of that oil is run through the pipeline. It's a process.
