Possible, but unlikely for too long. Once the cancer has metastasized and spread to other tissues, there are only a few drugs that might inhibit growth... for awhile. Cancer is a cruel, heartless bitch.

Yes it is. I lost my mom and one of my cousins to it (and numerous other family members through the years)
