Man, this one is sad. Rickey was a great guy and one of the most electric guys to watch stealing bases. Only one guy I ever saw who was even close on the base path was Otis Nixon, but he wasn't half the hitter Henderson was.

The fact that David Ortiz, who was a full time DH, was a fringe player before steroids and admitted to taking them was a first ballot HOFer while Barry Bonds was already a HOFer before using, was a pretty good defensive outfielder and a threat on the base paths still isn’t in means the baseball writers have zero credibility
