Weekend was good. Went golfing Saturday... Was freaking cold. It started off 42° and gradually warmed into the 50's. Went to the final Blue Jackets game later that night. Jackets won, then fired Torts. The bar afterward wasn't pre-covid normal on game days(which would be standing room only), but there was no social distancing or giving a shit about masks. Life's returning to normal.

Did my taxes yesterday. Owed federal over $500, got back $180 from state, owed another $140 to local.

I've never seen local on top of state taxes...at least not where I am.

I golfed Friday afternoon with the neighbor kid and another neighbor. Kid is learning to golf but the other neighbor is giving him lessons, so I just sat back and focused on my game...which wasn't good at all. My putting was terrible. League starts next Wednesday, so I need to get my shit together.

went to the western shore on Saturday to meet up with my mom and sister to celebrate Mothers Day. Ended up taking me 4.5 hrs to get there instead of the 2 hrs it should have taken because there was an active shooter at a McDonalds just past the Annapolis Bay Bridge and police shut down the bridge and highway.

You don't have local taxes? We have them in Ohio.

I started keeping track of my score, but it was so bad that I was taking multiple shots (we were a 3 some followed by 4's, so had time) so I quit. Felt a little better by the end of the round. Course was pretty nice, though

we let a couple of old biddies start in front of us on 1 and pretty much immediately regretted it.

luckily the kid was hacking all over the course so we weren't moving all that fast anyways.

the dude teaching him was making him hit every shot where it lied, which I wouldn't have done. The kid is trying to learn to hit the ball clean, don't complicate it by making him hit complicated shots.

Hmm, apparently we're in the minority. Looks like only 16 states have local taxes. We're one of them.
