Rodgers criticizes WOKE culture

Not gonna lie... Rodgers sounds like a pompous douche at the end of his quote.

"There’s a game within the game. If the player abides by the rules of the game, he’s part of the game. The rules of the game are: You must acquiesce with the woke mob at all times. However, when you live above the game, the game does not exist, and that’s where I’m at."

I wish he would stop making his glamor/fame talk show appearances until he wraps up his football career. 🤦‍♂️

I don't think that is "woke culture"

I think the fans criticized him because most fans are assholes these days.

I don't think he did anything that was unwoke just because he took time away from football...that isn't the woke culture.

I think the woke crowd would tell him to go and treat himself and forget about the game for a while...it's the fans that want him to stop doing non-football stuff

You’re only white knighting ARog because you’re proud that some gay dudes said you look like a shorter version of him.

I am saying that Rodgers is wrong...how is that white knighting?

it sounds like his stance is "ima do what I want to do...the fans can kiss my ass if they don't like it"

that's great

but nothing about that is "woke" as he claims

I’m failing to see what any of this has to do with woke culture and the scourge of cancel culture.

It’s not “woke” to be critical of a multi millionaire ball player bitching about their situation. The problems bad enough without this guy incorrectly adding more to it.

I agree

it sounds like Rodgers thinks he's a victim of critical fans...but he isn't really getting which fans are being critical

I’m not sure what he’s doing here. It doesn’t connect.

And I’m saying this as someone with a far more negative opinion on woke and cancel than some at this point.

I’ll just save the ire for appropriate instances……there are plenty of them.

I think it is a little bit of clickbait from Fox News, but really what he has a problem with is that fans can't seem to let him live his life.

Rodgers is a whiny little bitch. He can't help it though. It comes with being gay.

I don't give a fuck about what Rodgers does off the field. In my life, he is the QB of my favorite team. End of story.
You're very tolerant.

Aaron rodgers Tuesday is the best part of PMS every week. No one should take the shit he says on the show seriously

One thing I contest is this. Rodgers keeps putting himself out there in the limelight... hosting game shows, guesting on talk shows, engaging on social media, national commercials, etc. He's loves the attention and relishes his A-list celebrity status. You can't be an A-lister AND have a private life; society doesn't work that way.

If he wants privacy, he's going to have to sacrifice his celebrity status. If he wants celebrity status, he's going to have to sacrifice his privacy.

Why? General question.

I disagree

but none of this is because of Woke or cancel culture.

this is just his fans wanting him to sacrifice everything BUT football.

if he wants to have his cake and eat it too, that's fine.

it's the fans who don't want him to have his cake.

RP, So society has taken it upon itself to invade other people's privacy and determine how they should act? That's total crap.
