Yeah, because that’s what works these days. Society is totally open to changing and doing better, including not riding celebrities unfairly. I’ll get started on that.

I’m not trying to debate that point. You’re right that it shouldn’t be this way. @RP-29 is right in that this is what it is.

Being targeted is a wet pothole of celebrity status. The pothole exists. The celebrity doesn't want it and didn't create it, but knows it exists. It's up to them to find good ways to navigate it.

There's a LOT of things I would like to change in our society if I had the ultimate power to do so, my friend. I'm of the mindset, though, that this isn't MY society and I will continue to adjust myself as I approach the potholes of life. I can't adjust everybody; only myself. And I can try to guide those within my reach that are willing to be guided.

I’m being specific here and addressing the concept of celebrity vs privacy.

Specific to that…media dictates it at their whim….fans come right along with it.

Do you agree that celebrities do not get afforded privacy we all do? I’m not asking if you think they should, just if they don’t get such things.

This is off scope from whatever the fuck Rodgers was saying in the OP, but following along with other comments made here.
 
The "woke" culture is part of the hive mentality of the far left. If you don't accept 100% of what they require you to stand for, you are marginalized.

As with most things these days it’s espoused in a narrative driven to align. It has gotten so polar that it’s happening all over.

I am super good with becoming more inclusive and equal and always have been. But, those that have carried that message have started to go off the deep end.

And I don’t want a part of anything that’s going off the deep end so egregiously.

Agree 100%. Gutting police departments results in increased blatant crime. Not prosecuting misdemeanors will result in thousands more misdemeanor offenses. Letting people out of jail gives them an opportunity to commit more crimes while they should have still been in jail.

I don't think celebrity status means they lose their right to privacy...and it certainly doesn't give fans the right to be more critical of them...

fans seem to think they are owed something too often...and that is fans of movies, tv, sports, etc.
