Rodgers wants GM fired

I'm in Rodgers camp on this. In his sixteen years they have used one #1 draft pick on an offensive player and that was Jordon Love. That basically means they haven't been willing to get him any receiving help or picked someone to protect him.

I'm sure he has bitched about this for years and they could've gotten him one big target instead of just putting everything on his shoulders.

This league is driven to win a Super Bowl with a QB that is larger then life ( see the 40 something dude in Tampa) AR has a legit bitch here, yeah he’s under contract but they drafted his replacement last year and he wants to know if this team is going to let him play out his career on his timeline or force him out, if they are going to force him out then do it now so he has time with another team now

The latest report concerning Rodgers is that he hoped this would have remained a private matter instead of becoming public. He said he loves Packers fans and hopes this situation gets resolved.

He ain't going anywhere.

1. QB isn't going to trade him
2. If he sits he will owe QB 11.5mm in year 1 and 11.5mm in the second year. No one volunteers to give back 23mm.
3. QB was one bad play at the end of the half from winning a SB this year and Rodgers was the #1 reason.

They come to some type of agreement and the GM might be shown the door.

I believe the situation gets resolved. Rodgers wants a long term commitment from the Packers and he is their best hope to win a SB.
 
Rogers to me just sounds like a guy who has done it all and now is bored. So he's hosting game shows, playing front-office man, pushing limits on getting new contracts, etc. I think he still has the drive to play because he likes to compete, but since he is so good at his job he is dabbling in other aspects of the game.

If being carried to SB title by fat Mike McCarthy is his idea of having done it all then ya he has nothing left to live for.

Rodgers is one of the saddest little puds to grace the North American professional sports leagues since Pete Rose.
