Nothing fake about that. There are two major D1 schools in Michigan. One has embraced the portal and NIL deals. The other hasn't. MSU has Mat Ishbia, who was a basketball player at MSU -- he is the one who funded the $90 dollar deal for Mel Tucker -- he is giving every scholarship athlete $500 a month, not to mention any NIL deals he has approved for individual players.

I wasn't lying when i said UM's administration won't let the school do NIL deals with recruits. One of our basketball players absolutely went off on our administration on a podcast on how the school is killing themselves by refusing to use the huge advantage they could have with NIL

sucks because.. there's a few teams that could really dominate NIL UT, tosu, UM, maybe Bama and ND. So the school/compliance is turning away collectives?

They wouldn't even let them set one up. Just recently they were going to try and put one together. All the school does is allow athletes to sign their own deals and they get a piece off all the sale of jersey's and t-shirts -- they have specific "NIL" t-shirts and the money is pooled and it goes out to all the athletes.

It is ridiculous how UM has screwed this up. I truly believe it is why Harbaugh went out to interview with the Vikings -- the school refused to change with the landscape of college football and he knew exactly what was going to happen. The recruiting class we have right now is blatantly because of those archaic reasons.

Anyone in CFB who holds out needs to seriously get bent. Might be the most spoiled, rotten crybaby shit I’ve ever heard.

More than likely, most of them have already gotten some amount of money. Outside of hoops (I think), almost no other athletes make/will make what a lot of CFB players make/will make. Plus, they’ll get their millions when they get to the NFL anyway.

It’s probably inevitable at this point anyway but whatever. End rant.

For a system that says schools can’t get involved with the NIL deals it sure sounds like this is the school’s problem.

Who knew hiring mercenaries instead of recruiting student athletes would have any negative consequences.

this dude isn't shit w/o Kenny Pickett

he's not worth a roster spot.
