The issue is -- he isn't a weapon. He is the Quarterback. So he can't pick and choose when to use him to make plays, he has to be able to make plays at all times, with his arm or his legs.Milroe can be an effective weapon if used correctly.
Bama doesn't run a pro style offense anymore -- so the team isn't built like those years where the QB didn't matter and you could just line up and run it down everyone's throat. In today's style of offense -- if you don't have a great QB, you are going to struggle. That is Clemson's issue right now. That was Michigan's issue for a LOOOONG time.Hell we made the playoffs in 14 with Blake Sims who was a converted RB. We will see if Rees can do it
Bama has so much talent elsewhere -- it can mask the QB issues to an extent, but against other talented teams, it is going to bite them.
