Good signing, I'll give it a B grade as it's certainly not a bargain, but Kamara doesn't have an extensive injury history (see my F grade for Cook) and doesn't have too many carries on his body, and is one of the best receiving backs in the NFL (even better than Cook). The Saints are also going to be approaching a cheap QB option well within this span and Kamara will be a MASSIVE help to any new QB once Brees retires and the money here will be a non-factor in a few years.

Can't give it an A grade as it's not a bargain signing, but still overall positive.

Saints had about as good of day as they could have. They looked great on the field and the whole division caught a L.

This seems like a good signing for the first half of the contract and may not be for the second half. I’d bet against him playing the entire thing out in NO.

I'm looking at this and technically the Saints signed Alvin Kamara to a 5 year, $75M extension, but really it is a 4 year, $50M deal.

That brings the average down from $15M, to $12.5M. An even more friendly deal for the Saints than we thought maybe?
