Next is the massive Amazon deal announced.

PAC-11 will be the PAC-12 shortly as another school will choose to join after hearing the Amazon deal.

At least the Big 12 was able to get BYU, Cincinnati, Houston and UCF

Which while not elite by any means at least carry some weight.

Nobody pays attention to San Diego State.

Amazon?

So that means the majority of CFB fans still won't get a PAC 12 Network.

Him and a few others are convinced being on Amazon on a discount deal is BETTER than being locked in with ESPN or FOX for huge amounts of monies

Which is comical

I get you gotta get paid but man.. I would hope ESPN/Fox/NBC/CBS buys something from them too.. Nobody is paying attention to them and they have 3 one loss schools inside the top 10.. if the biggest games are on Amazon.. yikes. I may tune into it because I love CFB, but majority of people will just watch whatever ESPN or FOX puts on after the primetime games finish.. PAC needs exposure

Who will their next addition be?

New Mexico? Colorado State? Wyoming? UNLV? lol
You laugh at UNLV? Why? This IMO would be a great addition, if we don't take Boise State.

First, all of the PAC's championship games in basketball and football are in Vegas.

Vegas is a huge market and is a growing market.

UNLV with a Power 5 budget could become a pretty damn good program.

Having Vegas and a Vegas team could further help the marketing and branding of the conference as Vegas now has reason to invest and promote a college football conference.

Lol @ comparing them to Colorado St, UNM, NMSU, etc. :rolleyes2:

SDSU’s a solid, respectable G5 program. They’re not a bad addition.

5 seasons of 10+ wins in the last 8 years, 9 total seasons of 10+ wins. 9 conf titles, 1 undefeated season. Most recent losing season was 2009.

Week in and week out, the broadcast channels ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX are where the eyeballs are.
ESPN would be the cable/satellite/streaming outlier.

It just seems to me the PAC is painting itself into a corner here with Amazon, but I guess they have to take what they can get. They had a time-zone issue before USC/UCLA opted to bolt.

Maybe it's different in the cities, but I only know one dude out here in the rural area that gets Thursday night NFL on Amazon. He uses his girlfriends password.

Because those are the only options right now. You do realize once Amazon becomes an option people will tune in as they now have that as an added option? Sort of like how Thursday Night Football on Amazon obtains viewers now.

I hate to agree with OD, but of all teams that are out there, I'd say UNLV would be the best "get". JMO.

Where things have changed since the B1G took Maryland and Rutgers, is the networks are looking for those high viewership games more than the number of tv sets. At least that's what I've gleaned from you guys that follow this.

It is dumbfounding how people think once football games and an entire conference is on Amazon, things just stay the same with Amazon. No, Amazon is going to promote and advertise for their college football games.

Back in the day when College Football was on TBS, did TBS just sit back and do nothing about it and just aired the games? No, they promoted it.

You mean people west of the Rockies, right?
