Now all they need to do is do away with graduation altogether so "students" can play for 20 years at the college level and make beeeeeeeelions of dallahs.

1. Select the top 40 schools and put them in a different category of CFB. Basketball too.
2. Dispense with all the recruiting BS. Go to a draft. Enforce it. Don't like who drafted you? Tough shit.
3. Have the players sign contracts directly with the universities.
4. Make the universities live with a salary cap and God help anyone who tried to circumvent it.
5. Appoint a Commissioner and let them set penalties for infractions of the rules.
6. Have conferences, divisions and a playoff with the final championship game in a domed stadium.

If you want to treat college football as a pro sport, then have the balls to run it like the NFL. Period.

For the third graders in the room:

- RevShare pays the going rate for a DT.
- NIL has to be related to the market - so if a DL can get $1 million doing real market driven things, he can still get that.

Having said that, there are lawyers, it will be challenged, and likely enjoined.

You continue to advocate for the Wild West in college sports while most others just want players to get paid a lot of money, but to also have some normalcy in college sports.

We know there will be lawsuits as soon as Toilet and Douche put a low cap on "market driven" NIL payments. Sooooooo.............

............how about this. Just say screw it. Continue to let the market drive the NIL portion. Players can get unlimited NIL payments as long as there is some fat cats that want to continue paying. Eventually there will be a point where donors say screw that, that's it. That will obviously be a different point depending on the cache of donors. Only the wealthy will be left...which seems to be the goal anyway.

Nothing is settled. The lawyers will pounce again and then it will start all over. People just don't seem to understand that when you mix capitalism in its purest form with socialism you get chaos. I'm being hounded to hell and gone for $$$. OU donors contributed $110.3 Million last year and OU is now wanting donors to contribute $120 Million this year. It's incredible and I've talked to other fans of several schools who are less than happy about all the hustle. Now there is no end to the greed/cost/demands of financially supporting big time college sports. Hide and wait; there will be a lot of schools finally getting off the treadmill when they can not succeed in this new system.

I agree. Or they won’t (or can) pay what it takes to “keep up with the Jones’” and only fund what they can and just keep cashing the big conference checks.
