Scott Frost spotted at ASU practice

@huskers1217, why do you think he failed so hard at Nebraska? When it was announced, it appeared on paper to be a great fit.

The reason that I ask is I think it has a bearing on why he may or may not succeed at ASU.

I think Frost is untouchable for a while, at least as a head coach. He might get a coordinator job or position coach in a few years. But if AD's do some due diligence on him and as some people around Nebraska about him, I don't think they'd touch him.

if the rumors are true, he failed because he didn't care. out drinking late to practice too much golf. He thought he was in college again.

He also failed because he failed to devlop players both in the weight room and basic fundamentals. Can't win if you get thrown all over the field.

Thanks. Yeah those problems would follow him to ASU. ASU should avoid him like a plague.

I'm not sure how he was at UCF and wonder if it was just the venue that cause him to act like a 19 year old again.
I dunno... I still like to venture out to some "spring break" venues every now and then. Don't know that it really makes me feel like "19" again but... I still fell good about it!! :drink:

Not feeling good if they hire Frost

I wonder if he was sober/hungover?

I had a feeling he'd bolt to Arizona since that's where his wife's from.
Aren't there a lot of treatment centers in AZ?

For a smaller program I think it's a fine hire. Little bit like Rich Rod going to Arizona and having some success after Michigan.

Based on what some of you Huskers have said, it sounds like he was greeted as a savior and started enjoying those benefits before he had actually won anything.

With as many 1 score losses as you guys had, imagine what could have happened if he actually put in some real effort.

He may have learned his lesson and do better at his next stop...but after Herm, ASU isn't really in position to be able to "take a chance" and risk that he hasn't learned. Especially at ASU which has a bit of a rep as a party school.

Would make zero sense.

I'd imagine Frost's next job is joining the coaching rehab academy of Nick Saban.

From what I've seen and read, the name that keeps coming up in Mike Norvell.

I haven't seen Frost's name come up once on any of the websites that I typically read, but it's ASU, and Herm Edwards was WAY out of left field, so who knows...

And no doubt the coeds in Tempe are better than the ones in Lincoln.

His path to coaching may be similar to that of Sark. Deemed as a savior, and thus focused on other things than his job only to then lose that job.

Sark appears to have turned it around, and I hope the same goes for Frost as well.

I'd be thrilled if I were an Arizona fan, lol.

You say that like it's a BAD thing...

I have no intense hatred for ASU. Sure, I enjoy them losing, but at the end of the day, we are the two major institutions in the state of AZ.

I can’t see Mike Norvell leaving FSU willingly for ASU. A hot seat can certainly change that but for now I think Novell is ok.

Frost isn’t the guy for ASU.

Neal Brown is a more then qualified coach that would right the ship for the Sun Devils immediately and really, he is a solid option. Neal Brown to ASU!
