SEC Basketball

100 % true. And vice versa. Tech fans I know feel exactly the same way about A&M.

Must be a long standing agriculture school feud. It really surfaced a few years ago when Tech wanted to start a vet school. War over it in the Texas Lege.
We actually need more vet schools so it’s stupid to oppose that. It’s not like aTm would lose applicants.

This is probably all about potential research grants.

There are states that don’t have vet schools at all. They are predicting a shortage of vets due to the cost of schooling compared with income projections. They absolutely should let TT have one.

They absolutely should let TT have one.
In spite of A&M’s objection, the Legislature did approve a vet school for Texas Tech a few years back. Probably because of the data you noted.

And get this. The Tech med school is in Amarillo instead of Lubbock.

Not the greatest source on the internet but interesting take. Items of note:

- Kentucky A+ got the best grade and reportedly spent $17.5mm on this class
- Tennessee A got the second best grade with Ja'Kobi Gillespie replacing Zeigler as the best get
- Auburn got A- but they are replacing 10 players so it is a complete roster flip for the most part
- Florida is behind the 8 ball because they got a late start so their class is incomplete but few gems out there
- Alabama got a C- grade as they add 3 players but none are considered SEC ready
- Mississippi State got slaughtered losing most of their talent and not being able to replace it
- Ole Miss respectable at B+ and an argument for a higher grade could be made
