SEC Thread (for former B12 members so they don’t have to slum anymore)

Alabama is fading. I hear they actually dropped down and signed a 3-star kid.

There are Bama fans that want to fire Saban after the LSU loss so be careful. You don’t want to cause panic.

Auburn recruits Georgia, Florida and Alabama for the most part and if Clemson can pull the players in then we can to. We go up against Georgia and FSU more than any other programs in recruiting including Alabama. Most of the time kids know if they are going one way or the other in state.
yeah they'll continue to want to go to Auburn with a schedule of BC/Pitt/Louisville/Clemson, NCst/FSU and Miami (hopefully if you fall into their div)..

it wouldn't be as cool as you think, which is why it would never happen..

It wouldn't happen because of money.

Besides we are OG's.

I’m fine with adding OU and Texas, but I say we kick out Vandy, Miss State, Missouri and SCar. 12 is the perfect amount of teams for a conference
I'm down with that.

With OU and Texas going up against SEC competition, you're going to have two new Vandys anyway.

Here's a clip from an ESPN story where Nick Saban talks about a lot of issues like the NIL, transfer portal, playoff expansion, conference expansion, etc.. Nobody is going to be walking through the SEC without getting dinged up.

Oklahoma and Texas recently accepted invitations to join the SEC no later than the 2025 season. How would you like to see the league structured once the Longhorns and Sooners are members?

When you look at our league expanding, you're going to play more good teams in our league. You're going to have to lose more games. How does that affect people getting in the playoff? If we're going to play 10 games in the SEC, which I would not be opposed to [because] I've always wanted to play more SEC games, you could play two divisions and you could play three teams from the other side. So every two and a half years, you're going to play everybody. If they're going to stay at eight or even nine, they should do the pods [of four teams], so you're only going to have three fixed opponents and you would be playing five or six teams from the other regions or pods. You would play everybody in three years.

that has nothing to do with my post, Vandy Jr

Be honest, did you make this thread for @fordman84 ????
It is ironic that Mizzou and A&M thought they were getting away from big bad Texas and .................................
As bad as Texas has been...they'd of had an easier time if they'd of stayed.

It wasn't about leaving to get more wins. It was about leaving to get a recruiting advantage and to make sure that when Jexas decides they want to jump ship and fuck everyone else, we already are out of harms way.

Tech, Baylor, OSU, Iowa St, et al know what we are talking about...now.

Just one thing once you join the SEC and travel to Starkville, you will never utter the phrase “need more cowbell again”.

FYI
