SECCG Bama vs UGA pregame discussion thread

If George Pickens is a full go Saturday, that’ll help things. A dynamic outside receiver is one thing this team is missing. If nothing else, maybe George can draw extra attention and let Bowers get more chances
 
Just agreed to work until 3 on Saturday. Otherwise I’d be completely shitfaced before the game even got started
 
Georgia is the best team this year & they are due.... Bama has won 6 straight (since 2008) against the Dawgs & 7 out of 10 the last 10 games played. Georgia is due!!!! I was really hoping the Kirby would be the 1st assistant to beat Saban, I like Kirby.... Damn you Jimbo!!!!

Our only chance is if Our OL does something they haven’t done all year and gives Bryce time.

Defensively I do think we can slow down UGA running the ball. But a Pete Golding defense will bust a couple times in the secondary for UGA TDs.
 
I'm more interested in watching the refs. I doubt the SEC is going to waste a chance to get 2 teams in. Expect lopsided officiating to assure its at least a close game.

I've seen Bama's o-line, their defense ... and UGA

Don't think the officials will be able to affect much.

That’s spoken like someone who hasn’t watched UGA play a lot. Sleep on that passing game and find out what happens. We run more because the game has been over at halftime all season
 
When looking at this game, it should not be close.
Bama has one running back that they can rely on presently. I am not sure of Robinson's status, but I know we have only one left if Robinson is out for this game. If that is the case, Georgia can load the line and sit back and watch the hilarity ensue. The o-line has played horribly this year. If that continues, then look for Bryce to be struggling to complete passes all day. If that happens, Bama is toast.

Our defense has been suspect at times this year. If Golding is the DC next year we will continue to see the same thing. Since he has taken over the role as DC, this team has not had great defenses like in the past. O'Brien as the OC was a nice gesture to maybe get an NFL HC on the roster of coaches, but that experiment has failed miserably. Our offensive game plans have no imagination and its almost predictable what he will do in many situations.

Georgia should win this hands down. If we shock the world and win, I will be the biggest shocked fan of them all.

I'd expect UGA to go into Saturday 7.5 point favorites and very likely to cover. This seems like their year and the best chance Kirby Smart has gotten to win a Natty.

(Side Note: If Pete Golding is dumped we're gonna try to take Glenn Schumann back from y'all.)

Yeah, I think Bama needs to turn this into a track meet to have a chance. Such used to rub Saban the wrong way. Now I don't think it bothers him now as long as they win. I still don't think Kirby likes a track meet at all.

My Baylor alumni/asshole brother in law has tickets to the game Saturday in Jerry's World. He asked if I wanted to go with him because his wife wasn't going. When I asked him why my Red Raider alumni sister in law wasn't going he said because he's been rubbing Saturday's results in her face all week and she told him to shove that ticket up his ass. (She's one of those tough ass oil patch women you don't mess with.)
 
If any other team had an identical resume as Bama, I wouldn’t be nervous at all. If you look at both teams blind without knowing the names, UGA would be a heavy favorite, but it’s Bama. We all know what Bama does. That’s why I’m nervous

That’s the one thing we don’t have to worry about … they don’t have a backup with any experience. True freshman and a walk-on with no experience.

It’s Bear Bryant’s grandson. He’s been there a while. Same class as Tua’s little brother. 4 star IIRC, but your point remains true
