TV Series Secret Invasion

I agree. I'm much more invested in this series than I have been with any of the other Disney series.

I'm surprised they switched out the F4 abilities for other characters on the Super Skrull. That would have been a great Easter egg to leave them the same.

It seems the abilities are going to be the same, just the source is different, since the Fantastic Four haven't been introduced yet.

The 4 DNA samples shown on the computer in the episode each seem like they will correspond to an FF power:

- Groot: Mister Fantastic stretching
- Cull Obsidian: Thing strength/size/durability
- Extremis: Human Torch explosiveness/fire/heat
- frost beast: this is the iffy one, but maybe it has some sort of camouflage/hide ability like Invisible Woman; would explain how the giant beast was running around London for a while without drawing attention

Barring a miracle finale, I think we have a new contender for worst Marvel project. This show is painfully dull.

This isn’t great, but it isn’t bad. She-Hulk has painful. Falcon and Winter Soldier was sterile (and the speech was beyond infuriating). Ms Marvel has gotten positive reviews, but it didn’t do a lot for me. Moon Knight was a bit too weird for my tastes.

Hawkeye and Loki, imho, have been the clear class of the new Disney shows. But none hold a candle to the Netflix Defender shows.

She-Hulk at least had a couple laughs and F/WS can be blamed on covid messing up its schedule and having to film around it. This is just bland and poorly written. They also spent a fuck ton of money yet somehow managed to make a show that looks low budget (because the directing is poor )

I just don't see the final episode giving us much. Fury said this was a job for him and no superheroes. Without superheroes, a Marvel show is meaningless, imo.

was waiting for it to finish before watching, sounds promising.... been waiting on the crowded room to finish as well, perhaps i'll start there.

I agree with everything you wrote and that is pretty much where I am. The Ms. Marvel show was awful but it wasn't aimed at our demographic either as it obviously was written towards more of a teen angst Hannah Montana vibe.

Loki was the shocker as I had low expectations and it delivered big time.
Moon Knight was a disappointment and could have been great and that's a missed opportunity.
People should get fired for the She-Hulk fiasco as I'm fine with making an attorney comedy thing but they jumped the shark so badly it was painful.

I haven't even gotten all the way through Secret Invasion because I'll watch one episode and have to take a break because its so disappointing. I'll eventually finish it but unless things change they have ruined the Nick Fury character and that is a crime.

Hella disappointed in this. So much potential was wasted. No one gives a shit about Fury's love life.

The more I think about it, the more it irritates me.

Fury left space to resolve the conflict.
He got Hill killed.
He got Talos killed.
He goes back to space with all hell breaking loose under direction of POTUS.

Awful, awful storytelling.

No miracle in the finale. Somehow made it worse. Straight trash homie

It was laugh out loud funny that he made shit worse for the Skrulls and then just fucked off back to space. God awful writing, but hilarious
