I think these drafts tend to get quite skewed towards the WR/DB matchups. It puts more emphasis on who can win that battle. Most of these drafts are really close when it comes to the matchups and the difference maker is generally the team that has the better 3rd option matchup. Also I think it devalues the LB position a bit because you can get away with not taking all time greats there. I've seen most people tend to go Strong D-Line, Strong secondary, weak LBs.When
Correct. I’m also fine with drafting 12 as we do now though. Obviously it’s assumed of a team has 3 WR on the field then defense will have 3 corners and if the offense has a FB on the field then the defense will be in base and the third corner on the bench
I agree the skill positions are valued too much in the voting but there’s really no way to change that people vote how they’re gonna vote. And yes I build my team that way because some positions are more valuable than others in the NFL. QB, OT, Pass rushers and corners get paid the most because they’re the most valuable. Those are the premium positions. WRs are starting to get paid the same way too recentlyI think these drafts tend to get quite skewed towards the WR/DB matchups. You don't think guys move around the field on a play by play basis based on matchups? Do you really think Garrett lines up on the left side every time? That's why I don't think it matters as much as you believe. LT and RT...I get it.Worthless to you maybe, but they do have listed positions right?

So, what is so difficult about just drafting them for their listed position and then we can all just assume, yeah they move around.

This is from 2019. It actually says, "this is the first time in his career he played more on the left side than the right side" yet he is listed as LDE and this was his 3rd year in the league. So not only was he not just a LDE he was actually more of a RDE in his first two seasons.
"In Week 3, Garrett played more on the left side than the right for the first time in his career. No. 95 saw 30 snaps on the left side (mixed between DE, OLB and even one rep at DT) and 26 on the right side. Week 4 saw an almost equal split of 26 on the traditional right side and 22 on the left.
Week 5 saw a definite leftward tilt. He lined up left 34 times with just 25 on the right. But against the Seahawks in Week 6 he was back predominately on the right, with a 39-28 split.
Over the last four weeks, it’s an almost dead even split between left and right. His sacks have come from both sides, too: five from the left and four from the right. Moving him around has helped Garrett soar to the league lead in sacks and near the top in QB hurries and pressure rates, too."
When he’s right he’s right@Pack 500 fuck you for giving this a thumbs up! Fucking idiots!
When he’s right he’s right
There’s no other reason for it to be in place otherwiseIf you can show me where I have EVER said the position restriction was about me believing players didn't move around or couldn't play another positions I will send you a crisp $100 bill! Fucking unbelievable!

64 games doesn’t work either. That still removes players like Warner etc from the draft pool.GS or GP may work for baseball etc where they play more games. NFL plays significantly less games and has far more injuries. Stick to the old years played with a team imoView attachment 75730
Just wanna show y'all since Shane tried so hard to put the blame on me... lolzzz
Also, if you notice my idea was 64 games played, not starts.
Okay, move along nothing to see here.
11 on 11 you would have no RB if you okayed 5 wide. 4 wide would be a spread or air raid. If we are using 12 with subs the buckle comes in. Otherwise that’s picked up by a LB or Safety the same as a Tight end is covered. What about 5 receivers?
When what is the entire point of this discussion??? LOLIf you can show me where I have EVER said the position restriction was about me believing players didn't move around or couldn't play another positions I will send you a crisp $100 bill! Fucking unbelievable!
Okay, thanks!
You just told me Calais Campbell never played RDE in a 3-4. Albeit that was a typo he was supposed to be listed as LDE you said he couldn’t play RDE despite having played LDE in a 3-4 with ArizonaIf you can show me where I have EVER said the position restriction was about me believing players didn't move around or couldn't play another positions I will send you a crisp $100 bill! Yup OL and S don’t move around so they should have restrictionsWhen what is the entire point of this discussion??? LOL
If you know they move around then there is no point in having restrictions. Certain postions I get. OL, safety and even like slot CB. Some guys specialize being either a slot or outside guy. DL or LB really doesn't matter at all for 95% of players, more like 99%.
Strong safeties do move around too. Polamalu played in the box. Hos instincts and ability to read the play from the box and either drop back in coverage or attack the line. Are the reason he is a Hall of Famer. The value of an elite box safety gets missed a lot in these drafts imo.Not saying he’s eligible as a LB in no world is he a LB. But you have to compensate a box safety playing in the box. I agree there are a lot of specialists. When what is the entire point of this discussion??? LOL

If you can show me where I have EVER said the position restriction was about me believing players didn't move around or couldn't play another positionsYeah, I said that because he did not qualify for RDE. There was no typo when you posted it, you dropped O'Neal who was playing RDE and when you posted your drop you listed Campbell as DE. You gave no indication that Campbell was going to play LDE, you dropped a RDE so naturally you'd need to replace RDE. Typo, lolzzzz
