All good. I see an Amazon warehouse blew down up north a few miles from the campground I used to stay at when working at the refinery. I saw that being built. I thought those concrete buildings would withstand anything.
Looking at our peak winds hitting between midnight and 2 AM. Around 30 mph right now heading to 55 mph with gusts in low 60s
I culled this passage from a friend on mine's FB page. Can't confirm that it his original thought, but here it is;
There are hundreds of workers out of work in Mayfield Kentucky and there are hundreds of family's who lost everything including their place of employment and homes in the devastating tornadoes that ripped through their lives just a few days ago.
Instead of Elon Musk and Elizabeth Warren tweeting at each other and calling each other names, accomplishing nothing, how cool would it be to see something like this instead:
From Warren to Musk: Elon, If you'd would be willing to rush investment money to quickly and by quickly, I mean at the speed of one of your rockets, to convert the former candle factory in Mayfield KY into a facility to construct modular homes and employ the former candle company workers, at a better wage than $8/hour, to build new homes for themselves and others in the region, I'll get congress to acquire the property AND to let you deduct the money you invest from the taxes you're going to be paying us.
And if not Elon Musk, some other uber wealthy person or persons. Maybe Warren Buffet, he's already in the modular construction business!
If not Elizabeth Warren, some other member of congress.
I think it's a win - win!
....but its starting to sound like there may have been a cavalier approach by some, including those whose job it is to keep people (subordinates) safe.
Fuckin lawyers. They should be down there helping clean up the mess, not creating another one.![]()
Workers at candle factory hit by tornado file class-action lawsuit against employer
A class-action lawsuit has been filed against Mayfield Consumer Products on behalf of candle factory workers alleging they were told they would be fired if they left work ahead of last week's deadly tornadoes.www.cnn.com
Silly man….this is HOW lawyers help….Fuckin lawyers. They should be down there helping clean up the mess, not creating another one.
