Sloppy Tuesday

If it doesn’t cause diabetes, gtfo
When I worked at Boston Market, we actually had to make simple syrup first to sweeten the tea, otherwise you were left with sugar crystals at the bottom of the vats. And I'm all for sugar in tea, but I think you folks get a little goofy down there. I remember making iced tea, and putting a half cup of sugar in it. Girl I dated at the time actually made her own pitcher, I think it was a half gallon, and she put at least two cups of sugar in.

Or you could just add the sugar to the tea while it's hot

Hippie agrees with slinky and I.

Not going back to that vortex.

But, since I have like 60 pounds of ground beef, we're making chili with that this weekend....used some in tacos last night. need to clear that out of our freezer.
60 pounds, pfffffttttt.

We get like 200 pounds of it when we get our beef each year.

I fucking love Boston Market and they no longer exist here. Bullshit.

Yeah, did that. When you've added whatever goofy amount of sugar they added to tea to sweeten it, it wound up leaving granules in the bottom, and the locals complained that it wasn't sweet enough.

Turkey meal. Both sides mashed potatoes. Gravy over everything. Side of Mac and cheese. Two days of lunch.

I probably haven’t had sweet tea in probably 5+ years. But if you can’t see the crystals even after stirring for forever, you need more.

Also every town down here claims to be the home of the original sweet tea including my hometown. Apparently all you have to do is put up a sign and it’s true. It’s like the internet of real life.

Apparently Moorhead is getting hit with those power outages.

Another reason MN WOAT state in Midwest.

I loved working there as a starving college kid. Depending on the closing manager, we could sometimes take the leftovers home (company policy was to discard the leftovers to prevent workers from overcooking and intentionally creating waste).

Never really had that issue when I worked in an iced tea stand.

But people would get sweet tea then add sugar.... None of which could actually dissolve in the then cold tea

Feels like you could monitor employees so that you knew if they were overcooking. What a waste to just throw out food at the end of the night.

Cinnamon apples or GTFO.
I’d usually steal an apple or two from the kids. Ever since I had a baby I’ve not been much of a sweets person. Used to eat sweets like crazy.

Not everything got thrown out. Mainly the sides. And the managers did monitor it for the most part, but there would be time where they were doing paperwork or bank deposits and they couldn't monitor the kitchen. They just didn't want someone to cook a full pan of sweet potatoes 20 minutes before closing and expect to be able to take it all home.

I'm 1lbs away from being in the 170's (down to 180)

I could probably speed it up a little had I not bought package of licorice at Trader joes

or had 4 tall boys on Sunday

Maybe relax at the pool for 20 minutes?
