First snow of 2025 here, won't amount to much in my neck of the woods, @ill and @Bender could be seeing a Schiancoe of snow.

Hopefully @RobBase didn't wind up in jail after celebrating last night.

little under half a shiancoe so far

just gonna wait for my neighbor to offer to plow the driveway....

we have more than a half a foot on the ground right now and it is still coming down.

I am kind of looking forward to getting out there and shoveling.

morning all

Have my FIL's dachshund, it's probably permanent, today we're taking him to vet to get a diet plan, he needs to lose a lot of weight, probably going to put him on prescription diet food

Maybe get @kobesgame to watch the pupper for a bit so the dog either becomes more active or becomes a meal for one of her dogs.

All the kids are home as school canceled. We got maybe an inch of snow? Guess the plows weren't ready because we weren't getting the 3 to 5 they predicted last week & thought we weren't getting anything. Heard back roads might be icy as well. Oh well they'll have school on MLK Jr Day when I'm off (hopefully).

'Prescription diet food' sounds like a waste of money. When dogs are fat, it's the owners' fault - the dog is over-fed and under-exercised.

I've never had a dog that small, but a quick google search tells me:

Eliminating all human food from the dog's diet, sticking to the recommended food quantity and exercising the dog is very likely all you need to do.

Great advice. And will save him vet bills he doesn't require.

Morning folks. Nothing here in CT yet...

Did win my Fantasy Football league... So I get a free meal out of it so that's nice to wake up to

if you want a referral for Ollie, let me know. That's what my dog gets.

I'm kinda bummed we're not getting hit. We have only gotten a dusting of snow so far this year, haven't even taken my snow shovels out of storage yet.

Morning all.

Off today and Tuesday.....snow headed to us here in Nashville later.

Wait, you are in Nashville now? I totally missed this

I got about eight inches or so Friday/Saturday and another 4-6 this morning. Kids are in school, though.

It's fucking awesome too, because long term forecast says temps won't go above freezing for at least the next two weeks.

Fucking loving it!

Good luck.

I've been down there a couple of times when they get a bit of snow (2-3 in) and it shuts the whole town down. Snowmageddon.
