Agree. We aren't the first earth civilization that reached this level of advancement, and maybe we still aren't the most advanced that existed.
I recommend this book. I'd get the condensed version since the original is 800+ pages.

Abstract:
Over the centuries, researchers have found bones and artifacts proving that humans like us have existed for millions of years. Mainstream science, however, has supppressed these facts. Prejudices based on current scientific theory act as a knowledge filter, giving us a picture of prehistory that is largely incorrect.

The oldest archaeological site, Lomekwi 3 in Kenya, reveals evidence of human tool use dating back 3.3 million years, significantly predating previously known stone tool technology.

What is the oldest-known archaeological site in the world?
The candidates make the Giza pyramids and Stonehenge seem young.www.livescience.com
Word.
The Earth is estimated at 4.5 billion years old. So much has come and gone, over and over again, that we have absolutely no idea of.
And my petrified dick. The only thing left would be something like a pyramid.
You watched Ancient Apocalypse, didn't you? Some of these old sites have structures or walls that are almost perfect in craftsmanship and design. And then you see where later, another civilization of people, built on top of these old existing structures. The way you can tell it's not the same people who built the original structure is in the quality of there construction and design. The newer stuff was "amateur hour" compared to the existing old structure they built upon.
I watched something once that predicted Mount Rushmore might be the last proof of existence. If we were wiped out and a million years later, what would remain of of our civilization. In a million years every building would be reduced to nothing and new vegatation would have taken over. Everything we use would have completely decomposed.
The only thing left would be something like a pyramid.
Is that El EdBarge?

Same with the pyramids of Giza.
There has never been found any Pharaoh or King or anyone for that matter entombed or buried in one of the Giza pyramids or any other pyramid for that matter.
Another thing about the early Egyptians that "supposedly" built the pyramids at Giza....they decorated everything they built with hieroglyphics and art depictions of their day to day lives....
...Yet none of these hieroglyphs or artworks appear anywhere inside any of these pyramids. There is also no depiction or hieroglyphs depicting the construction of the pyramids anywhere.
So the early Egyptians who the current Egyptians claim built the pyramids, left their most impressive feat to date, the building of these structures, undocumented?!?!?....when they documented everything else they "really" did do.
The early Egyptians did not build these pyramids...not sure who did but it was not them. They were advanced for their time when compared to the rest of humanity at that time, and yet, not as advanced it would seem as the builders of these ancient sites, including the pyramids at Giza.

Maybe that's where all those "missing socks" in the dryer get funneled to?They’re gonna find someone’s car keys under there.
The Myans have a theory tooI've always thought this. A billion years ago there could have been a super advanced society, but something hit the earth to shift plates around and basically all remnants of theirs we either don't realize came from them (plant and animal diversity) or were destroyed as the plates shifted over each other.
