So who has upgraded to Windows 11?

AS some others have already saiid... I always suggest waiting for about a year before making a major PC operating system upgrade - like from Win10 to Win 11. Major headaches (bugs) tend to be pretty much fixed after that period of time, though not always.

Win10 is still gonna be fully supported until 2025, so why rush it - right??

Also bear in mind that Windows 11 has newer requirements that need newer PCs. It won't run well on PCs that are older than 4-5 years old.

Although, IF you are very "tech savvy", there are a few ways around that. But it would be a PITA and doesn't guarantee your PC will continue to work great. :noidea:

Shiiiiiizzzz. Think I'll go the old reliable route... keep making it crash then take it to IT and say it's broken and they need to fix it or I need a new one :heh:
Shizz... if your IT team was any good, they would've had the Windows 11 update managed so that their users never had the option to download & install it to begin with. Go throw your computer at them and tell them they suck at their job.

Pretty soon, MS will remove that "later button"... and THEN the REAL fun begins! :heh:

Welp. It's forcing the upgrade on me RIGHT MEOW. Says it will take 60-90 minutes. Started at exactly 12:01pm PST. Guess I'll be dicking around on here for the rest of the day :noidea:

That wasn't so bad. It's all done. What was really stupid was at the end when it's all, "LOOKIT ALL THE COOL NEW STUFF WE DID!" and one of them is Alt+Tab function.

This is the Snipping Tool patch #

Windows 11 KB5008295
Or use Snip & Sketch since Snipping Tool is outdated and supposed to be going away.

That's why all my old laptops now have Linux on them :)

Download it on my new laptop for work. So far so good

at some point I'll have to update all my Windows VMs that are sometimes required by some of my clients... until then I'll continue not using Windows 10 as well.

I use my laptop around 40 hours a week at work & at home. Nothing more than email, documents & downloads to my drive. I make quotes on excel. Not a lot of high tech over here.
