I agree and a sensible/rational person would think these times would cause a pump on the spending brakes. But those items you mentioned were "group" decisions. These are "I want my way" barking and they get bank account blind when they don't have to worry about a bounced check.

At least when the Aggies went into their spending mode with facilities and the Jimbo package, we weren't in the middle of a pandemic and low oil prices.

oh and the loan it took to from the "academic" side to help bankroll all that... I applaud UT for not footing the city of Austin with any of the bills that the city would have to turn onto its millions of t-shirt fans...to pay with higher city taxes.
 
look i wouldn't be gloating even if we won yesterday.. shit was pathetic. Team literally quit in the 3rd and 4th quarter til about 6 min left in the game... Even the OT periods couldn't cover that crap up. Hoping they do better in two weeks but I'm not holding my breathe.
 
We go through this every year. They get hyped up all offseason and ranked high at the beginning of the season because they’re texas university.

This thread was from the 2020 season... why was it bumped? I don't even remember what was going on that year with CFB other than COVID-19...
