So why was Texas a top 10 team?

There goes the defense.

I'm glad he's gone..it was so fucking weird seeing him in burnt orange after all the negative recruiting he did vs us in his years at TCU.. Think he got what he wanted here.. see how Sark ran his offense and to see how NIL can help build a roster. Think he'll end up as an assistant HC somewhere before getting another head gig

The defense make an improvement last year. Now it will be back to 3rd and PK.

He certainly helped the defense out. My theory is his actual worth was coaching the coaches. He got the secondary and front 7 more coordinated. I don’t think he brought in anything crazy in terms of scheme. We will see. I’ll thank his sweaty ass and move on.

funny how they improved with better talent and year 2 of the same system

I'm not so sure. I'm not sure he can adapt to today's younger players and their "wittle feelins'". Wasn't that the reason the AD canned him last year?

I think it fair to say the defense improved. It is also fair to say the secondary and front 7 appeared more coordinated. Ex. Tighter coverage, when blitzing. There are 2 moronic theories, when it comes to Gary’s contribution. #1 He had almost no influence on the improvement. #2 He was the sole reason for the improvement. Anything in between those theories can be argued and is probably reasonable.

One of them schools in Texas needs to change their name to the Oilers and bring that logo back in the fold. That bad boy was glorious.
Yeah it was dumb for the City of Houston to not keep the name and colors of the Oilers.. Texans shit with the wish version of Bevo is weak.. People still wear a lot of oilers gear and have the logo tattooed on them.. nobody says oh look it's a titans fan lol
