Why does it matter? The media is going to cover what boosts ratings. It isn't targeted at any one thing anymore. Anything that gets a bump on social media, the cameras and broadcast companies are going to incorporate it anyway they can.

They are all about gathering new viewers and fans. They know that, for the most part, the football fans aren't going anywhere, and if they can add to that, it makes business sense.
