And I get it. If I made a movie, I’d find a reason to write a scene that this made sense in. Gump was obvious. Retarded, Athletic kid, with no dad. It was as if Fogerty helped Winston Groom write the book. Just to have this song in the movie.

As some people here know, I go to hawaii a fair amount and have been for several years. I’ve always liked the brother Iz version of this song and you can hear it routinely on the radio over there. It was featured in the movie “50 first dates”.

Feel like I remember this in a few 90s movies, the only one I can think of is Black Sheep though. Maybe Beavis and Butthead Do America or something....
