Or just revert back to the world I was born into and they are just called OSU again.THE Oklahoma State University?![]()
But the California school has been called USC longer. The S. Carolina school has only had its current name since 1906.“But our school was founded almost a century before that other one!!”

No one outside a 100 mi radius of Columbia calls the University of South Carolina "USC."But the California school has been called USC longer. The S. Carolina school has only had its current name since 1906.
Unfotunately, NOT totally true... Up here in the dinky NE area, when I have some USCw gear on, people that don't know me locally are like, "You go to University of South Carolina?"No one outside a 100 mi radius of Columbia calls the University of South Carolina "USC."
It was more about the SC inter-locked 'SC' logo...Interesting ... US Cali won a Trademark dispute in 2010 that they had the rights to "SC" ... will be interesting to see the litigation that comes out of the USC v. USC battle. Lawyers win again.
