I would wear tennis shoes/hiking shoes into work especially in winter/spring and would just leave shoes to change into.

Deli isn't far away, I could go back, maybe next time I grill out for friends I"ll run and get a variety.

I mean, I get wanting to not have grimy footwear on all day walking in the city. I'd normally just carry my office shoes in my backpack and take off my boots when I wore them.

Only thing that would piss me off was if I had worn sneakers in and it was pissing down rain when I left work. Would wind up taking the subway so my feet didn't get soaked.
