CBS stations are playing the first season at 10:00pm on Thursday nights. They've only done one episode so far so you can jump in if you haven't seen it. The first episode was really good.
 
Man, season 1 was good. Season two was even better. Then season 3 was trash.
It was just one character after another expositioning some inner turmoil, and the other characters just telling them they’re a worthy unique unicorn. They even solve the main plot by singing a lullaby to a character. Just pathetic.
please, someone save season 4, release date November 18
 
Disco was painful from the start. It is Wokeness on parade.

The only real character I have liked to date was Tyler, but his very existence requires ignoring all known history in the Trek Universe. Why have we never seen this amazing tech in any other show before? And other spoilery problems as well…

Why was Worf referred to as the first Klingon in SF? Why has this transmutation tech never been used/referred to in the past? Why do the Klingons look totally different from the previous two incarnations of Klingons? The previous 2 have been explained (even if a bit awkwardly).

I think you are being too generous with the first 2 seasons. I bailed on the second part of S4. Maybe I will come back and finish it someday, but I honestly doubt I will.

I’ve tried to back to S4 twice and it wasn’t worth it.

I liked the first two seasons though.

Picard is not good and I lasted 2 episodes.

Strange New Worlds is good so far.

Picard started OK both seasons, but the overall arc storyline was not strong enough either season to warrant a 100% serial structure.

Strange New World looks good so far, but it is only 2 eps in, so I am refraining from getting too excited. I like that it LOOKS like they are going with a 70/30 Episodic/Serial mix. I think that is about a perfect blend. More episodic and the episodes feel pointless. More serial and the episodes bleed into each other and if the main arc isn’t strong, the whole show falters.
