TV Series Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett

My guess is they had the idea, so they green lit it before they actually had the storyboard up. Then they started putting together the season and realized they just didn’t have enough for a show, but the press releases were already out and the were cornered.

I think everyone agrees that the Mando eps have been awesome and will add a lot to Mando3. But that shouldn’t be the point of BF. BF should have been about BF, maybe with just a little Mando thrown in for spice.

As it is, I think they have done serious damage to the BF character. And that is disappointing.

I believe the rumor was the idea for this was initially gonna be a movie for Disney+, an epilogue or companion type event for The Mandalorian series. But at some point there was a decision to make it into a series.

I can buy that theory as well.

How involved in this show was Kennedy? How involved was she in Mando? The BF stuff in this show really smells like Kennedy.

With so many show on the drawing boards and so many characters I suspect we'll see a lot of crossover. If one or more shows don't work out they can always shuffle the characters around the remaining shows

choose the lightsaber, and you will join me
choose the armor, and you join your mother in death.
This is almost genius because we all want him to choose the lightsaber but do we really think the writers are going to remove the most popular character in the Mandalorian and one that is a massive toy seller?

He is choosing the armor and going back to the Mandalorian and that is a given.

This is how it went.

Star Wars staff - There is a lot of buzz about Boba being in last night's episode the people loved it.
Kennedy - We need more programming to meet Disney's goals so call some writers and let's put out a BF mini-series ASAP.

A month later the first draft is delivered:

Kennedy half reads and says "great fine-tune this and put it in production next month".

I'd bet money I'm not far off.

I like that though, all of the spinoffs happening on the same timeline. Makes it way more interesting, opens up crossovers and allies/enemies.

I'd really like an opposing view spinoff. Like had they done something that shows the rise from the Empires side, fighting to squash terrorists.

Agree. he will choose the armor and go back with Mando, and Ahsoka will join Mando to give him some rudimentary training.

The only other way I see it working out would be for him to stay with Luke and then be killed by Ben Solo and there isn't any merchandise money in that.

i was just going for obvious reference to the scene. does anyone really want him to stay with luke? everyone knows how that story plays out, plus his "training" looked more like luke just trying to impress him, very desperate.

Wasn't it implied Ben Solo was Luke's first apprentice and thus ruining the whole cliffhanger nature of Grogu's decision?

Damn sequels ruining shit again.

This dude is scary looking.

I don’t think it was. He had a whole academy going.
I knew he had that but I thought Ben Solo was like his main apprentice err sumthan. Like Luke took a more special interest in training him (though I guess the lack of other masters might've changed that).

I think he was his most promising student, which also breaks this timeline of Grogu staying with Luke.

That could be. I just don’t think it ever implies he was the first. It even references him training Leia and she ended up not wanting to finish because she knew what would happen with her son, or some shit.

I don't think Marshall Vanth is dead, just wounded.

It was pretty clear Vanth got shot in the shoulder on the side opposite his heart. They made damn sure to show you his deputy got all kinds of fucked up, letting you know this guy is definitely dead. Vanth will put a medpac on it and walk it off.

hey, at least he made an appearance in this last episode. Almost a full minute!
