Stay away from McDonalds Wednesday

Apparently in addition the gastrointestinal pyrotechnics, assassins also frequent McDonalds. I am not loving that. I am done with you Golden Arches
So, one of the first major mass-shootins doesn’t deter you…but ClassWarRobinHood dips in for some nuggies and a McFlurry and now it’s a bridge too far?

I just don’t GET you breh. :L

I had never had it until I was in Texas this past August. Folks were saying "you gotta try it, it's great!" I tried it, it was okay. Easily better than McDs and BK, but I'd still much rather have Culver's burgers.

morning all

Figures a cold front comes in just in time for curling

Jail was made for motherfuckers like him
The dude is 31 years old now and will serve 25 to 65 years in prison. Even if he serves the minimum 25, he'll be 56 when he gets out. Realistically, how societally-productive could the guy be when he gets out of prison even in the best case scenario?

This guy is going to cost taxpayers about $100,000 per year for the rest of his life to rot in prison and maybe collect on welfare and/or social security if he ever gets out.

...So tax payers will probably be paying about $4,000,000 to keep this waste of human flesh alive...
...or...
...A 9mm bullet costs about $0.40.

Back when I was a freshman in high school and didn't have a drivers license yet, I'd walk to McDonald's every day for lunch with a group of buddies because it was reasonably close to the school and the price of a quarter pounder with cheese meal was $2.99 - about the same as worse cafeteria food. Since I got my license, McDonald's has been my last choice of fast food stops - only when there are no other options (like when I'm traveling and need to stop in the middle of nowhere) or someone else in my party special-requested it (like when my daughter was little and wanted McD's nuggets as a birthday meal).

If I'm traveling, I'd choose BK over McDs, but if I'm in Oshkosh and someone gives me the choice of free food only from McDs or BK I'd choose McDs. The BKs in Oshkosh are the worst. Really, though, I'd rather pay for my own food somewhere else than patronize either one.

Are there no Culvers in Oshkosh?

There are two Culver's in Oshkosh. Interestingly, they both are right next to a McDonald's and I think the only people who ever patronize either McD's do so because they don't have time to wait in the long lines for Culver's. I choose Culver's over McD's and BK 100% of the time.

The downsides to Culver's is the long lines because everyone knows their food is so much better and I don't get to choose Culver's over alternatives as much as I'd like because my wife is deathly allergic to shellfish and Culver's doesn't separate their fry oils.
