Just finished my first zoom office hour of the day, with another at 10. Awaiting delivery of a new refrigerator to help with space issues (4 kids in a pandemic learning pod with school food delivered every couple days). They specs say it's 29 7/8" in depth without doors, and the entry to our kitchen is 30 3/8" wide. Will be tight, so we'll see how good the installers are. The current fridge will go to the garage for additional storage and be a homebrew fridge.
Going on very little sleep, as my sister-in-law was in labor with her first child all day, but didn't progress. Ended up needing a C-section, as it was a long time after they broke her water and the baby was distressed. He was born at 4 lb 15 oz (39.5 weeks), so considered underweight. They are going to another hospital closer to us that has a better NICU facility and will be doing some genetic testing, as the baby has some features consistent with Down's.
Considering they've been trying for a long time and to have these issues, our hearts are breaking, but at least he's stable. We thought that they may lose him overnight, and that may still be in the cards, but at least he's stable currently. We'll be planning on having them stay with us while the baby is still in the NICU, so there will be a lot of stressful days and crying ahead.
