Stir Friday

I tried 405 once just to see how heavy it felt...I probably was able to descend the weight faster than anyone in history.

and @bojack still doesn't believe in gravity...

i was surprised i did it. i got it 3/4 up but i counted it as a rep. spotters took it.
Sorry to rain on your parade, if you didn't do a pause at the bottom, or lifted you ass off the bench, or rocked your feet, or didn't lock out, you don't get credit for the lift.

yea but

U think 99% of men can't do 350?!?!@??!@?!?!@!?@!?@?
there are currently just over 3.9 billion men on this planet. your contention is that only 1% of 3.9 billion can do 1 rep at 350?

explain in detail.

Good Friday morning hooplas. Didn’t lift yesterday after my run which is my 1st non lifting day of the week. Won’t run tonight it’s my night off and won’t lift. Will get back to it tomorrow. I’ve been lifting 12lb dumbbells doing 200 of them in 25 increments. May up to 15 pounds. Pizza and wings tonight.

I assume this was addressed by hippie

paused, half second or so.

Physique versus strength can be vastly different considering training and desires. What do you want?

Want the V-shape with bulging biceps and a shredded core? That's one routine with a dedicated diet and isolation movement vs being the utmost importance. Forget your ego and not worry about the amount lifted, only muscle size and symmetry.

Want to be strong? Don't worry about diets, only concentrate on the amount lifted and progress with total weight. eat enough to maximize muscle gain.

Want both a shredded physique and the strength of a bear? Tough luck, as that is extremely rare and likely due to illegal substances.

You've got to decide what you want and train for such. You can be "fit", but you're not going to be a strongman and a bodybuilder, as they are polar opposites regarding training techniques.

that's why you start with Strong, and cut down

had a buddy who I played basketball with that was very fit that had to work for months just to rep 135. 225 is well above average.
I knew a guy who was friends with a guy who had met a guy in Tesla.
