Stir Friday

Yep, couples membership was $1000 for the season and for an extra hundred we were able to add our son to the membership.
Mr. Kobe and I got a deal at Inver Hills. Less than $800 for both of us for THREE years. Golf 3 times a year to pay for it.

Good on you for admitting you were wrong.

Like a breath of fresh air on a message board.
I always admit when I'm wrong. I'd rather also prove that I'm wrong than believe I was right.

Young? I'm 45.

But thanks. I appreciate that.
I'm 64 and i still haven't given up...but i should, my shoulders don't even rotate and i can't lift my right arm over my head...but my mind thinks I'm young and still wants to work at it.

Ok so i am young. I'll be 45 in November. 64. My dad's only a couple of years older than you. He's done a pretty good job too at getting himself back into shape.

I don't even wanna know what the fuck I can bench at this point.

nailed it the office GIF
What kind of psychopath wears a belt to work from the couch and then go out fishing?

I'm just starting to put 225 on the bar for a couple three reps.

two years ago before i had my appendix taken out i was repping 225 for 10-12 reps. Took me over a year to get back to 8 reps, after the covid shut down I was down to 1. My goal this winter is to get back to at least 8 reps assuming my shoulders hold out.

Happy Friday all.....have a great weekend.

I'm confident I can still get 225 easy. I'm doing enough shit to lift. But...3 hundo anymore? Lolno.

The current gym setups aren't enticing to me. Fine doing the shit we do at home now.

yup. i DO 25 lb curls (upped 5 lbs last night). 80-100 reps a day. doesnt indicate a max, dumbass.

i used to be able to bench 400, but only once, way back in the day. i did reps with 250.

25 years go
This is fucking hilarious. What a hilarious fantasy living guy. This reminds me of all the people who claim to run a 5k in a couple minutes less than the world record.

What I did last night I barely got up once. I don't even really bench I just happened to be at my friend's house who's a weightlifting animal.
Next time I go over there I'm going to try throwing 200 on and see how many reps I can do.

Sometimes. She likes the "crumbled"/nugget ice that you'll find at Chick-fil-a or Sonic the best, but then since it isn't offered in a refrigerator, she liked the idea of the spheres to not melt as quickly.

I personally don't give a damn, as I drink my bourbon neat and water from the tap. It makes the wifey happy, so oh well.
I had a theory many years ago.

My wife is virtually full-blooded Native American. When we met, she would crunch ice like mad. Big, "ice cube" ice. I started thinking, why would someone feel compelled to crunch ice like that? The tactile sensation? The sound? The taste?

Then it struck me...I thought if evolution is true, then when we were hunter/gatherers we probably highly regarded the higher-protein areas of a kill just like an animal does. Some of the highest protein areas are also the highest iron concentration areas....in bones. The marrow.

I asked her to get tested to see if she had an iron deficiency.

Bingo.
